• Expanded the capability of the Eligibility File Ingestion system to enable Enterprise, Channel Partner and Health Plan Customers.
• Proposed and now leading a strategic initiative to reduce Eligibility operation costs by 30%. The first milestone was released without any significant issues and 4.3/5 internal user satisfaction scores.
• Led the organization through a multi-month outage of our EDI Clearinghouse vendor due to a major cybersecurity incident.

Jetpack Workflow

Senior manager responsible for delivering pragmatic solutions for all technical aspects of Jetpack Workflow, an Inc 5000 company.

• Grew the company to 1600 Subscribing Customers producing $3M ARR.
• Built a team of 6 Engineers, including all hiring, compensation analysis, performance management, and development processes.
• Overhauled development and application infrastructure to achieve a scalable system with 99.99% uptime and a fully automated CI/CD pipeline.
• Established Privacy, Cookie, & Security Policies and DSAR processes to comply with GDPR/CCPA.
• Worked with Design to establish a Design System of reusable components to reduce development time and provide a consistent user experience.
• Integrated product with development and operational analytics for internal customers.
• Rolled out major product features: Quickbooks, Google, Office365, and Zapier Integrations, Team Monitoring Dashboards, Branding/Style Updates, Payment Subsystem Overhaul, Security and Performance Improvements.
• Lead architecture, design, and development of the next generation product offering.

WhiteHat Security

• Built Sentinel, a customer-facing site to manage assets and view security vulnerabilities.
• Wrote new features using CoffeeScript, Slim, Sass, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborated with 5 on-site engineers and served as primary contact for 5 remote (US, India) engineers and a remote product designer.
• Worked with team to implement Kanban process including grooming, planning, and daily standups.

UPMC Technology Development Center

MyUPMC is the primary patient portal for millions of patients of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, allowing patient access to their records, clincal care team, and telehealth urgent care.

• Implemented a responsive web interface using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS serving over 10,000 unique visitors daily.
• Wrote REST APIs using Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, and Oracle.
• Integrated with EPIC outpatient EMRs through REST, SOAP, and HTML services.
• Automated provisioning and deployment to Red Hat Enterprise Linux using bash, Ansible, Jenkins, VirtualBox, Vagrant, and Docker.
• Supported development, test, and production environments, including 24/7 support of live site and servers.
• On-boarded and mentored 4 junior developers and 6 contractors over a 6 month period.

• Co-developed Clinical Document Improvement module with Optum to allow medical coders to issue physician queries.
• Integrated with Optum LifeCode using C#, .NET 4, WCF Web Services, and Entity Framework.
• Collaborated with Optum teams in Seattle, Boston, and Atlanta using SVN, TFS, and Skype.
• Designed the schemas for questionnaires and wrote T-SQL stored procedures.

MEDRAD

• Implemented first generation radiology informatics system (FDA Class I) to report on contrast dosing and integrate with patient scheduling systems.
• Developed informatics system using C#, WCF, ASP.NET, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Prototyped User Interface for IV contrast injector (FDA Class II) using C#, WPF, WCF, and .NET 2-4.
• Worked with research clinicians to prototype solutions for novel imaging proceedures, integrating with hospital information and medical imaging systems.
• Solicited feedback on prototypes from radiologists, technologists, and administrators.
• Presented works to the industry at national radiological conferences.
